A bold and vibrant debut, DON’T BE STUPID by Himiko Kikuchi marked her breakout into the Japanese jazz-fusion scene in 1980. Blending jazz, funk, disco, and Latin influences, the album delivers a confident, groove-driven sound that sets the tone for her early career.
Led by her expressive keyboard style and backed by a strong ensemble featuring Ernie Watts, the record flows between smooth melodies and energetic arrangements. Tracks like “Stormy Spring” and “Flight In The Moonlight” highlight her melodic skill, while others bring a more playful, rhythm-focused feel. Now reissued on vinyl, it’s an essential pick for fans of Japanese fusion, city pop, and jazz-funk.

What our customers say
Amazing
I was hesitant at first about ordering from here, since I thought the only official place was iam8bit. Soon I found out that they were partnered, which made me feel better about the purchase. Came slightly damaged on the spine, but it’s not noticeable. Thanks for the repressing of this gorgeous vinyl!
Good packaging, awesome selection consistent updates and vinyls arrived as described.Great experience i do a lot of business with this vendor and I highly recommend them !!
Amazing Customer Service
I just want to say that Arcline is amazing. Their packaging is really nice and keeps the record safe during shipping. My item arrived early, but it was missing one of the small collectible pieces. They were so lovely in all of their emails to me, and responded super fast. They were able to send me the replacement piece very quickly as well. I will definitely buy more records from them!
Good but
While I want to purchase this due to the significance cyberpunk let alone edge runners has had on my life… it’s missing one single song. The one song most associated with Edgerunners not only for me but for nearly everyone who has watched the show… I Really Want To Stay At Your House. My only and only critique is this and I hope the vinyl gets updates because I really do want to purchase this.
Quick and easy process for purchasing. Amazing quality sound and condition. Arrived very quickly after purchase. Will buy from again!
Shipping took a while but i did not have to pay any import fees and the item itself came in perfect condition
