Description

Directed by Isao Takahata, Grave of the Fireflies stands as one of the most devastating and emotionally powerful films in Studio Ghibli’s history. This analog edition brings the original 1988 soundtrack back to vinyl, newly remastered and presented with a full reprint of the original liner notes. Composed by Yoshio Mamiya, the music is inseparable from the film’s impact. Sparse, restrained, and deeply human, the score does not romanticize tragedy - it quietly bears witness to it. Uniquely, this release includes not only musical cues, but also dialogue and sound effects, preserving the film’s emotional atmosphere as it was originally experienced.
