World of Balance: Character Portraits (Final Fantasy VI) presents Mustin's arrangements of the game's character themes as a focused tribute to the World of Balance cast. The album blends strings, choir, electric guitars, bass, drums, organ, harp, and related textures into fresh readings that keep the original melodies clear.

This Compact Disc edition comes in a jewel case with an 8-page booklet. Artwork is by Chris "Cubosh" Dlugosz, with layout and design by Diego Montenegro. The 14-track program moves through the party roster and closes with an extended take on Dancing Mad.
