Description

A true piece of internet and gaming culture history, the Zelda 45 brings The Rabbit Joint’s legendary fan tribute - long misattributed to System of a Down and others - to vinyl for the very first time. Originally recorded in 1997 on a ½ inch Otari 8-track machine, “Zelda” became one of the most widely swapped and downloaded tracks of the early file-sharing era, passed along on Napster, Limewire, and countless burned CDs.

This unique pressing doesn’t just include the original recording; it also contains the isolated 8-track stems, hard-panned for easy remixing, plus an “empty orchestra” karaoke version. Side B features “Bye Bye Balloon,” a rare 2000 demo celebrating Mario Kart 64’s Battle Mode. Pressed on randomly colored vinyl, each copy is one-of-a-kind - a perfect collectible for fans of video games, music history, and the chaotic early days of online sharing.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Are these releases officially licensed?

Absolutely! All the music from our distribution partners comes with official licensing. Royalty from each your purchase on our website goes directly to the right owners, because we support the artists and their hard work. And we stand firmly against bootlegging and counterfeiting.

Is the vinyl color guaranteed?

Due to the nature of vinyl production, only releases with black vinyl can be guaranteed. As for colored or splatter releases actual vinyl record color may look a bit different since we use mock ups on the website. However, on the other hand, each of these records is unique and one of a kind.

What is a "pre-orders"?

When a product is labeled as "Pre-Order," it indicates that the item is currently in production and will be shipped at a later date. You can always find the estimated shipping timelines in the product description, just below the "Preorder" button. Keep in mind that some records may have limited Pre-Order availability and could sell out before they officially arrive in stock.

If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, we will ship complete order within the Estimated Shipping Date window noted on the product page.(In other words, you ave to wait for a pre-order to release before we ship out your order.)

Why there only "estimated shipping date"?

We usually receiving "estimated shipping date" from various suppliers and labels, because sometimes there is delays which beyond our or our partners control. We strive to keep these estimated dates as current as possible, but please remember that they are always approximations and not guaranteed delivery timelines.

What does Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 mean?

Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 refer to the four quarters of the year. We use this quarterly format to estimate release timeframes because vinyl production involves many variables -manufacturing schedules, shipping logistics, and quality control can all affect timing.

When we list a release as “Q4 2024 (November)”, it means we aim for a November release but leave room for potential delays. This approach helps set realistic expectations while keeping you informed.

Can I return a vinyl record if I don’t like it?

We got you covered in this one! If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund, provided it’s in its original condition.
