Originally streamed as a digital-only event in June 2024 to mark the 30th anniversary of EarthBound (MOTHER 2), this commemorative concert brought together the original composers and creators behind the magic. Now, fans around the world can finally experience this unforgettable performance on vinyl.
This 2xLP release features live and remixed recordings from EarthBound Beginnings (MOTHER) and EarthBound (MOTHER 2), performed by legendary composers Keiichi Suzuki and Hirokazu Tanaka alongside the specially assembled TONZURA MOTHER BAND. Every note radiates warmth, whimsy, and that signature emotional tone that’s defined the MOTHER series for decades.
Also included is a booklet featuring a rare and exclusive conversation between series creator Shigesato Itoi and composers Suzuki and Tanaka, offering deep insight into the emotional core of the music and its creation. Wrapped in gorgeous artwork inspired by the concert visuals and characters from EarthBound Beginnings, this is more than an album - it’s a collector’s piece for lifelong fans.
