Description

Hydeout Productions: First Collection is the cornerstone Hydeout Productions sampler that documents Nujabes' label at the turn of the underground hip-hop era. Originally issued in 2003 and widely sought on vinyl, this compilation maps the producer's jazz-informed beat language through early collaborations with American and Japanese MCs before Hydeout sound reached a global audience.

This Japanese CD edition collects 14 label-defining cuts in one program, from Shing02's "Luv (sic)" and "Luv (sic) Pt2" to Substantial, Funky DL, and remix highlights produced by Fat Jon and Monorisick. Nujabes production and sequencing tie together hip-hop, jazz, and downtempo threads that would define later classics such as Metaphorical Music, making this set essential for collectors tracing Hydeout's roots.
