Second Collection: Hydeout Productions gathers the Japanese label's circle around Nujabes into a 14-track compilation that followed the debut label collection by four and a half years. Released in 2007, it sits alongside Metaphorical Music and Modal Soul as a document of Hydeout's hip-hop and jazz-leaning sound, with new productions, collaborations, and remixes rather than a simple greatest-hits set.
The program spans Nujabes cuts with C.L. Smooth, Substantial, Five Deez, and Shing02, plus Uyama Hiroto instrumentals, Emancipator's With Rainy Eyes, and remixes of Clammbon and DSK. Ten of the fourteen tracks were new at release, including the Modal Soul remix of Luv(sic.) and Another Reflection. This Japanese import CD is a compact single-disc edition of the Hydeout Productions label collection.
