Masayoshi Takanaka's Ocean Breeze captures a high point from the guitarist's global fusion years - a live document drawn from his POWER PLAY '80 and '81 tour era and originally released in 1982. Known for fluid technique and sun-soaked melodic hooks, Takanaka helped shape Japan's crossover fusion movement while building a devoted following across Japan, Europe, and the United States.
This anniversary-era reissue marks fifty years since his solo debut with a remaster sourced from the original Kitty Years master tapes, transferred in high resolution and cut at Abbey Road Studios in London by engineer Alex Wharton. Pressed on 180g clear green vinyl inspired by the original jacket artwork, the set presents a dynamic live program spanning tour staples, Rainbow Goblins selections, and material from his debut Seychelles - described in period press as the best take from the best concert.
