All Of Me is Masayoshi Takanaka’s definitive early-career best-of, compiling highlights from his legendary run between 1976 and 1978. Originally released in 1979, this double LP captures the guitarist at the peak of his fusion powers, blending jazz, funk, Latin rhythms, and sun-drenched melodic hooks that would define the city-pop and Japanese jazz-fusion landscape for decades to come.
Sourced from the original master tapes and newly remastered and cut by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road Studios, this edition presents Takanaka’s vibrant guitar work with exceptional clarity and warmth. Iconic tracks such as “Sweet Agnes,” “Mambo No. 5,” and “Ready to Fly” sit alongside fan favorites drawn from Brasilian Skies, Jolly Jive, and the original All Of Me compilation.
Pressed on clear light green heavyweight vinyl, this release is part of a coordinated color series that visually reflects the imagery of Takanaka’s classic album artwork.
