Description

This is a preorder. Estimated shipping date: Q4 2026 (December)

Introducing is Jun Fukamachi's 1975 Japanese jazz fusion album, cut for Toshiba EMI's audiophile Pro-Use Series at the start of Japan's crossover era. Fukamachi's analog synthesizers sit over a hard-edged rhythm section with Shuichi "Ponta" Murakami on drums and Rei Ohara on bass, while Kenji Omura's electric guitar cuts through the arrangements.

This Universal Music Japan reissue presses the five-track program on clear red vinyl. Side A moves from the Wagner-based Evening Star into Noah's Ark and Perfidy; Side B opens with the nearly 14-minute jazz-funk centerpiece Bamboo Bong, then closes on Fukamachi's layered synthesizer reading of Debussy's La Fille Aux Cheveux De Lin.

  1. Evening Star: Oh, Star Of Eve, Thy Tender Beam
