As discotheques surged across Tokyo and beyond, Japanese studios responded with impeccably played recordings - often tracked by elite musicians rather than early computer-driven production - resulting in a tight, physical sound that still hits with real weight.

This compilation traces that era’s full spectrum, from major crossover moments tied to TV and pop culture to deeper, collector-favorite cuts that thrive on groove, bass pressure, and bright arrangement work. Cut at Timmion Cutting Lab and pressed on 180g vinyl, it’s built like a proper DJ-and-listener record: immediate, energetic, and impossible to sit still to.
