Description

This is preorder. Estimated shipping date: Q2 2026 (June)

Far East New Rock Invention 1969–1975 captures the moment Japanese rock stopped following templates and started inventing its own world - fuzzed-out guitars, freaked psych bends, proto-hard rock grit, and jazz-rock experiments that still hit with real edge today. Pulled from fully licensed Nippon Columbia masters and cut by Jukka Sarapää at Timmion Cutting Lab in Helsinki, this 180g pressing is built for serious listening: big low end, wide dynamics, and that raw “in the room” energy that made late-60s/early-70s rock feel dangerous and new.

This compilation traces the shift from the end of the GS boom into Japan’s “New Rock” era, spotlighting artists who chased freedom and volume as hard as their UK/US counterparts - Yuya Uchida & The Flowers pushing steel guitar through fuzz and wah, Flower Travellin’ Band going global, and the wider scene colliding with jazz players, rare groove instincts, and underground folk attitude. With track-by-track notes by Sally Kubota and a reverse board jacket, it’s a collector-grade document of a period that only gets more essential the deeper you dig.

FAQ

Are these releases officially licensed?

Absolutely! All the music from our distribution partners comes with official licensing. Royalty from each your purchase on our website goes directly to the right owners, because we support the artists and their hard work. And we stand firmly against bootlegging and counterfeiting.

Do you ship to my location?

We ship worldwide. Available shipping methods are determined by your destination country. To check all available shipping methods, transit times, and prices, please proceed to checkout. You can see this information before payment.

What is a "pre-orders"?

When a product is labeled as "Pre-Order," it indicates that the item is currently in production and will be shipped at a later date. You can always find the estimated shipping timelines in the product description, just below the "Preorder" button. Keep in mind that some records may have limited Pre-Order availability and could sell out before they officially arrive in stock.

If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, we will ship complete order within the Estimated Shipping Date window noted on the product page.(In other words, you ave to wait for a pre-order to release before we ship out your order.)

When will I be charged for a pre-order?

We charge your payment method at the time you place the order, even if the item is a pre-order that ships at a later date. This upfront charge secures your reservation for the product. (Don’t worry – if you decide to cancel the pre-order before it ships, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.)

Why there only "estimated shipping date"?

We usually receiving "estimated shipping date" from various suppliers and labels, because sometimes there is delays which beyond our or our partners control. We strive to keep these estimated dates as current as possible, but please remember that they are always approximations and not guaranteed delivery timelines.

Can I return a vinyl record if I don’t like it?

We got you covered in this one! If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund, provided it’s in its original condition.
